2% Dividend Tax
Our CEO, Zhu Hann NG recently spoke at Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Budget2025 forum. He shared his views on the impact of the recently announced budget on the stock market.
One of a major concern to him is the newly introduced 2% dividend tax, which will affect individual shareholders of companies and investors. He believes the policy is regressive and will stifle entrepreneurial endeavor. It also a form of tax on tax which is not favorable to the business environment including SMEs.
